FC Planet Mens

Planet Football has a mens 1st team squad which competes in the Bangkok Casual League – Divison One. Which is the biggest non-professional league in the region, with 2 divisions and over 17 teams competing. Last season (2015/16) we won the title after previously finishing runners up the season before. Losing on the final day result cost us dearly as we narrowly lost the title. We have now won the Division 1 title 3 times out of the last 4 years (with 2 seasons finishing back to back double winners) and we are looking to make it 4 out of five this season (2016/17) when it starts in September.

The 1st team also plays in both of our locally run leagues, the 6-A-Side and the 9-A-Side leagues, The team for these games are made up of a mixture of players who are part of the 1st team and some who are part of the training squad.

Training is Tuesday’s from 7pm at FC Planet Stadium, and we often play friendly games on these days against various local teams, and some from Bangkok. Currently there is no plan to have a second training day, although this may change as the season progresses.

We also have a Reserve Team squad with most of the players coming from our U17’s – U19’s squad, plus a few training squad players. Training is on Friday at 5pm to 6.30pm (FC Planet Stadium) and they currently play in the Men’s 9-A-Side League. In tense ending to Season 2 (Last season) the Reserves won their final game 4-3 to snatch the title, which was an amazing achievement for the squad.

We are always looking for new players especially between the ages of 18 – 35 years, so if your an expat, or on a long term holiday and want to get involved, then contact our Head Coach Mark McKeown.
