Another dominating performance from Planet’s U13 team against Arty 21 of Chonburi, scoring thirteen goals without reply from an opposition who struggled throughout against the inform home team. Goals came thick and fast in the first half with Planet going in at the break eight goals to the good. Taylor opened the scoring for Planet with a good finish from Nicky’s pull back on the edge of the box before turning provider with a similar move down the opposite flank that Eoin finished for Planets second. A good ball from Daniel Grace found the on running Leo in acres of space who found the top right corner with his second touch to make it three. Nicky got Planets fourth with a neat finish from Eoin’s clever pass before the latter grabbed a brace for Planet fifth and sixth. Planet combined from the back starting with Daniel Peebles and after a fast flowing move forward the ball fell kindly to Eoin on the edge to riffle home, within a minute Eoin had his hatrick with a simple tap from Alex’s corner. Alex now on for Leo on the right side grabbed himself a couple before the break, Taylor shrugged off his marker before playing a little one two with Eoin through the legs of the defender and neatly setting up Alex to slot home for his first before a good finish from outside the area found the top corner. With the home team leading by eight goals and Arty struggling to create any clear chances Planet had the chance to change a few things around with new signing Roberto coming on for his debut, Toto on the right hand side and David Grindvold now in the defense. It didn’t take long for the debutant to open his account and within a couple of minutes found himself on the score sheet, latching onto a loose ball with the keeper out of position. Planet moved the ball around well and it was always a matter of when they would score next and not if, it didn’t take long. A good move down the right between Eoin and Robert opened up the space for Alex to took away into the near post for the tenth. With Eoin about to be replaced by Nicky he found just enough time to grab his fourth goal, holding off his marker before firing low into the left hand side giving the keeper no chance. Leo picked up the ball on the left hand side from David’s pass and cut inside to release a powerful effort that cannoned off the post but good reactions from the wide player meant he was on hand to volley the rebound home. With time ticking over Planet found time to find the net again, this time Leo was found Nicky unmarked in the area who buried his shot into the top right to give Planet a 13-0 victory. Coach Marks says : That was another strong performance from the boys and the opposition just couldn’t cope at times. The team is scoring lots of goals but it’s the way they are scoring them that’s impressive at the moment, we are attacking at pace and moving that ball around very sharp. Assist’s are coming from all areas of the pitch and we had six different players on the score sheet this weekend which shows that everybody is involved in the performance. Not to forget Joe in the sticks and the tight defense who have only conceded three goals up to now this season. Well done boys lets carry on these performances right through to the end of the season.
